Winds:
The inescapable Tramontane NNW as violent as sudden (40 to 60 knots), brings a clear blue sky, but is to be monitored regularly to avoid being trapped for three, six or nine days in a creek . Plans Breeze maximum force 3 to 4 in the afternoon mainly occupy the rest of the year. Do not forget the blows of the South (Jorn Mig) was the very sudden and very violent and the east wind which bring rain and a heavy swell making it impractical for most inputs of Port.


Cape Bagur wears a semaphore in a yellow building at 108 m above sea level. Between the points "Del Palom" and "La Sal", the handle of "tuna" deep 16 to 18 m, has a fishing village.
The rocky coastline continues for one mile to the W NW tip of "Las Llosas" (Cape Negro). In the W tip "Guixeras" port "El Estartit" is built along a small cove.
In the SE tip Guixeras and 0.5 miles from shore, the group of islands Medes (Medes) consists of three main islands: Grande Meda (Big Island), the small rock and Meda (mogote) Bernat and a few rocks which the rock is loose Magallot N of Great Meda.
The passage between Great Meda and the continent is healthy, with a width of approximately 0.4 miles.

Les vents: 

L'incontournable Tramontane de secteur Nord Nord-Ouest aussi violente que subite (de 40 à 60 noeuds), amène un ciel bleu azur, mais est à surveiller régulièrement pour ne pas se faire piéger pendant trois, six, voire neuf jours dans une crique. Les régimes de Brise de force 3 à 4 maximum l'après-midi occupent en majeure partie le reste de l'année. Ne pas oublier les coups de Sud (Mig Jorn) l'été, très soudains et très violents ainsi que le vent d'Est qui amènent la pluie et une grosse houle rendant impraticable la plupart des entrées de Port.


Le cap Bagur porte un sémaphore dans un édifice de couleur jaune, à 108 m d'altitude. Entre les pointes "Del Palom" et de "La Sal", l'anse de "La tuna", profonde de 16 à 18 m, abrite un village de pêcheurs.
La côte rocheuse se poursuit pendant un mille à l'W N W de la pointe de "Las Llosas" (cap Nègre). Dans l'W de la pointe "Guixeras" le port "El Estartit" est construit en bordure d'une petite anse.
Dans le SE de la pointe Guixeras et à 0,5 milles du rivage, le groupe des îles Medas (des Mèdes) se compose de 3 îles principales: la Grande Meda (Grande île), la petite Meda et le rocher (mogote) Bernat et de quelques rochers dont l'un, le rocher Magallot est bien détaché au N de la Grande Meda.
Le passage entre la Grande Meda et le continent est sain, avec une largeur de 0,4 mille environ.
