At S and E, Spain is bordered by the Mediterranean sea, except for a small land boundary with the British Overseas Territory of Gibraltar.

The boundary between Spain and France lies in the vicinity of Punta Falco, which is located 1 mile NE of PortBou. 

In the Mediterranean sea spain territory includes the Balearic islands.

Spain is divided into 17 regions (or autonomous communities) and 2 autonomous cities located in Morocco.
