Description

After Trenca Brasos point the coast down towards the marshy plain bordering the Gulf of Roses. The NW Gulf of Roses form the Bay of Rosas, in the bottom of which lies the village and harbor that are invisible from the sea.
E coast of the bay is high and ends with the tips of "The Ponsella" and the "Bateria" bringing the light of Roses (white tower 11 m).

The coast is then raised, steep and very rugged. It is dominated by a mountain range whose highest peak is the mountain of Cadaques (Panic, 610 m high).

Beware to 0.5M SE of Lighthouse Bateria Point, rocks Los Branchs Canyellas (Canellas), levels of 8 to 10 m, which must pass over 100 m. They extend in front of the handles Canyellas (Petitas and grosas) which are separated from one another by points overwhelmed by rocks.

After Norfeo Cape, between the Jonculls cove and Cala Nans point bringing the white tower of the lighthouse Cadaques harbour, lies a barren coast, high, rugged but healthy.
In front of the Port Lligat cove is the group of Massina islands.
NE Creus Cape, indicated by the white tower of a lighthouse, is the Clavaguera (Encalladora) island and 0.5 M E of the lighthouse, theMaza de Oro island.
Beware in the winter season winds from N and NW, the currents around Cape Creus are S and are violent.

Après la pointe Trenca Brasos la côte s'abaisse vers la plaine marécageuse qui borde le golfe de Rosas. La partie NW du golfe de Rosas forme la baie de Rosas, dans le fond de laquelle se trouve le village et le port qui sont invisibles de la mer.
La côte E de la baie est élevée et se termine par les pointes de "La Ponsella" et de "la Bateria" qui porte le phare de Rosas (tour blanche de 11 m).

La côte est ensuite élevée, escarpée et très découpée. Elle est dominée par un massif  montagneux dont le point culminant est la montagne de Cadaquès (Panic, haute de 610 m).

Attention, à 0,5 M au SE du phare de la pointe Bateria, aux rochers Los Branchs Canyellas (Canellas), élevés de 8 à 10 m, auxquels il faut donner 100 m de tour. Ils s'étendent devant les anses de Canyellas (Petitas et Grosas) qui sont séparées l'une de l'autre par des pointes débordées par des rochers.

Après le Cap Norfeo, entre l'anse de Jonculls et la pointe de cala Nans qui porte la tour blanche du phare du port Cadaquès, s'étend une côte dénudée, élevée, déchiquetée mais saine.
Devant l'anse de Port Lligat, se trouve le groupe des îles Massina.
Au NE du cap Creus signalé par la tour blanche d'un phare, se trouve l'île Clavaguera (Encalladora) et à 0,5 M à l'E du phare, l'îlot Maza de Oro.
Attention, en hiver, saison des vents du N et de NW, les courants aux abords du cap Creus portent au S et sont violents.

Entre le cap Creus et le cap Cerbères, la côte est orientée à l'W N W pendant 6,5 M et au N pendant 4,5 M. Rocheuse, escarpée, très découpée et bordée d'îlots, elle est dominée par des collines de plus en plus élevées à mesure que l'on avance vers le N.
La frontière entre l'Espagne et la France se situe au cap Cerbère , qui porte un phare.
Attention aux rabattantes ( vent qui descend des montagnes et qui peut monter à des forces importantes ).

Golfo de Rosas

W point "Guixeras" port "El Estartit" is built along a small cove.
