At 1.3 miles in 24 ° of the tip of Sant Ambroggio, a little rock, totally insulated, covered with one meter of water, is marked by a buoy north light.
It can be hard to spot against the light. But generally in the day the presence of small fishing boats reported this shoal that extends 200m south of the buoy and is only covered 0.8 to 3m of water.
By rough seas, we locate the most dangerous waves that break there. It is not uncommon that the buoy is moved or carried away after a storm.

By night the trap buoy Algajola is marked by a white light shining with a short range of 6 miles.
It is possible also guard this pitfall by browsing the white sector (079] to 234]) fire (3 12 sec bursts) of Ile Rousse visible up to 15 miles.

A 1,3 mille dans le 24° de la pointe de Sant Ambroggio, une petite roche, totalement isolée, couverte de moins d'un mètre d'eau, est balisée par une bouée Nord lumineuse.
Elle peut être difficile à repérer en contre-jour. Mais généralement dans la journée la présence de petits bâteaux de pêche signale ce haut fond qui s'étend sur 200m au Sud de la bouée et n'est couvert que de 0,8 à 3m d'eau.
Par mer agitée, on localise mieux le danger aux vagues qui y brisent. Il n'est pas rare que la bouée soit déplacée ou emportée à la suite d'une tempête.

De nuit la bouée de l'écueil d'Algajola se signale par un feu blanc scintillant d'une faible portée de 6 milles.
On pare également cet écueil en naviguant dans le secteur blanc (079] à 234]) du feu (3 éclats 12 sec) de l'île Rousse visible jusqu'à 15 milles.
