“Les îles sanguinaires” meaning the bloody Island as in the old days, a lot of ships sank and their crews where crushed on the rocky landscape of those sharp islands. There is a beautiful 1608 Geonese tower on one of the main island from this small archipelago.

To the north, the hill of Parata is surmounted by a remarkable Genoese tower. At its foot, a pass of a depth of 7m allows entry into the bay of Ajaccio from the north. Take the pass in the center especially on rough sea where many rolls break.

Groupe d'îles au NW de la baie d'Ajaccio. Sur la plus importante au Sud se trouve un phare - FI(3) 15s24M ? ainsi que l'ancien sémaphore de la Parata. Au nord, la pointe de la Parata est surmontée d'une tour génoise remarquable. A son pied, une passe d'une profondeur de 7m permet d'entrée dans la baie d'Ajaccio en venant du nord. Prendre la passe au centre surtout les jours de gros temps ou de nombreux rouleaux s'y brisent. Mouillage possible à l'Est de la tour génoise par 6m de profondeur sur des algues. Plus à l'Est encore à environ 1 mile de la tour se trouve une ferme à poissons. Au sud des îles se trouve l'écueil du Tabernacle à éviter si on les contourne.
