Mento is a small harbor, lies 2 miles NE of Cap Martin. It is protected by two jetties and is used by fishing boats and yachts. The town stands in an amphitheater which is situated on a small promontory at the NE end of a beach. A square tower stands on the extremity of the promontory, and the spire of a church, which is situated in the town, is prominent from seaward.

Surnommée "La Perle de France", Menton possède deux ports: le vieux port municipal, dominé par la basilique Saint-Michel, et le port de Menton-Garavan, l'un des plus grand port de la Côte d'Azur, qui vous accueille avec sa fontaine aux dauphins et sa sirène qui scrute la mer.

Nomata "La Perle de France", Menton ha due porti: il vecchio porto municipale, dominato per la basilica Saint-Michel, e il porto di Menton-Garavan, uno dei piu grande porto della Costa Azura, che accogliera i navigatori colla sua fontana ai delfini e la sua sirena che scruta il mare.
Le Cap d'Ail marque la séparation entre les baies de Beaulieu et de Monaco. Les abords étant malsains, il faut s'en écarter assez largement. Le cap Martin est couvert de pins d'où émerge un sémaphore blanc sur les hauteurs.
