Jablanac is a small town, situated on the mainland at the E side of the entrance to the N part of Velebitski Kanal. It stands at the head of a small bay and is fronted by a small craft harbor which is used by ferries.
A light is shown from Rt Gradic close N of the harbor. The fairway of Velebitski kanal is only 1 NM in this vicinity and may easily be navigated as the mainland coast is barren and precipitous.
