Other large deserts include the Gobi Desert of Asia, the Kalahari Desert in Africa, the Patagonian Desert in South America, the Great Victoria Desert in Australia, the Great Basin Desert in America and the Syrian Desert in the Middle-East. The Gobi Desert is situated in the north of China and also in the south of Mongolia. Due to desertification, it is growing at a fast rate an operation that turns fertile countries into desert areas. It truly is caused by humans reducing forests, droughts, climate change along with other environmental factors.
