Description

Le golfe de Mazarron est une large baie ouverte qui s'étend depuis le mont Cope jusqu'au cap Tinoso à 18,5 milles à l'ENE. Les rives en sont basses, mais les terres s'élèvent progressivement vers l'intérieur.
Mazarron c'est 35 km de plages, de falaises et de petites criques.
Attention la pointe de Calnegre n'est pas saine: une roche couverte de 4 m d'eau se trouve à 0,4 mille au S. Au NE de cette pointe, la côte présente une succession de plages jusqu'à la pointe Bensa. Ces plages offrent des mouillages forains qui ne sont fréquentés que par les barques ou les petits caboteurs du pays.
Après la pointe de La Azohia, à l'extrèmité E de l'anse de Mazarron, la côte, élevée et coupée d'anfractuosités, rejoint le cap Tinoso, qui porte à son extrémité SE un phare, tour blanche de 10 m à 135 m d'altitude.
