Description

La plage de l'Almanarre est une longue plage de 4 kms, mélange de sable et de petits galets ronds, c'est une plage réputée pour son spot de funboard qui reçoit chaque année la coupe du monde de funboard et accueille maintenant également la coupe du monde de kitesurf.
Comme l'almanarre est le lieu de prédilection des véliplanchistes, vous y trouverez donc sans difficultés des écoles de planche à voile, des loueurs de planche et des surfshops.
A l'Est se trouve d'ancien marais salants qui ont fermés en 1996 et sont protégés afin d'assurer la protection des oiseaux migrateurs. Plus de 270 espèces d'oiseaux les fréquentent , flamants roses, hérons, sternes, avocettes, échasses, aigrettes, cols verts, cormorans et bien d'autres.
