One of the "British places" in the Ionian with a definte touch by the Venetians that ruled for many years. We anchored South of the castle, outside the The Nautical Club. Be aware of week patches. Otherwise good holding. A town with a special athmosphere. Going NNW from the anchorage, towards the fortifications, there is a good fish, fruit and vedetable market in the morning.
If you decide to check in to Greece here, the Coustoms Office is in the NW of the new commercial harbour. To take your boat there you should contact Kerkira Port Control on VHF ch 12. Or you may anchor W of the peer in front of the shipyard. In 2005 the Coast Guard had their offices in the old port, where the local passenger boats dock. But they are said to be on the move to the intgernational passenger terminal, together with Customs and Immigration Police.

Le port est encadré de deux forteresses, l'une vénitienne, l'autre byzantine. Il a été baptisé "la porte fleurie" de la Grèce.
La capitainerie se trouve au NW, dans le nouveau port commercial. Pour accoster vous devez contacter Kerkyra port control sur la VHF, canal 12. Vous pouvez aussi mouiller à l'W du port, en face du chantier naval.
