Flag_En Teluk Rigaih is nearly 2 miles wide and about the same in length; the coast is for the most part composed of rocky cliffs, excepting the swampy portion on its NE side. The four islands which encumber it divide the bay into the N and S harbors.

There is always a heavy swell in Teluk Rigaih. South Harbor, the larger of the two, is used by all but small craft, being about 0.5 mile in extent, with depths of 9.1 to 11m, over sand and mud, and easy of access.
It is open to the Southwest Monsoon, rendering it advisable to moor.

North Harbor has depths of 5.5 to 7.3m over a breadth of about 0.1 mile and is used by small trading craft; it affords fair shelter at all seasons and, being abreast the town, is much more convenient than the South Harbor.

There is an anchorage area for vessels in South Harbor, in a depth of about 9m.
