At approximately 4.5 NM from Cape Gate, the Morro Genoves is a conical hill, with a flat top of 82 m. N of Morro Genovese, is a small bay, Port Genoves, separated from the cove San Jose by a point dominated by the ruined castle of San Jose de Los Genoveses. The tower marks the entrance to Cala Figuera NE of San José cove on the shore of which is seen a village. Both are shallow coves, boats shallow draft can find a shelter against the winds of W. By cool breeze from that direction, gusts of falling mountains make poor anchorage. The Cove San Jose is a surfer's paradise. A 4,5 M environ du cap de Gate, le Morro Genoves est un promontoire de forme conique, avec un sommet plat de 82 m d'altitude.Au N du Morro Genovese, se trouve une petite baie, Port Genoves, séparée de l'anse San José par une pointe dominée par le château ruiné de San José de Los Genoveses. Ces deux anses sont peu profondes, les bateaux à faible tirant d'eau peuvent y trouver un abri contre les vents d'W. Par brise fraîche de cette direction, les rafales tombant des montagnes rendent le mouillage médiocre. L'anse San José est le paradis des surfeurs.
