All access to the Laguna are named ports on maps, but they are not port structures with service, but a series of canals that lead to various ports.
In Chioggia, the strip of land separating the lagoon from the sea, is connected, on its inside, Sottomarina to form the barrier beach of the lagoon of Venice. At the left end of the access channel, formed by breakwaters arises the strong S. Felice, with above the white building of an old lighthouse.

In the lagoon, there are various channels identified by tags, some are illuminated.
The outside of the Lido beach is a tourist destination.
Along the lagoon and along the canal of Rochetta the strip of land, is tagged and numbered.
Near Alberoni is located the old towerPiloti; more N, on the seaward side, the beach is protected by rocks. Access to the port of Lido presents no problem to recreational craft even those large: the minimum background is about 8 m.
The two dykes that delineate access are indicated by two fires. That of the S dam is placed on an octagonal tower painted with red and white stripes. The dike N is indicated by a lighthouse on a pagoda checkered white and black pointing seaward.

The city of Venice can be reached either from the port of Lido, either by taking the channel Malamocco after taking Rochetta channel which takes the name, near the city, Orfano channel.
Wide channels used by commercial traffic around the city and they all have mooring terminals, many of which are numbered and illuminated with yellow lights.
The historic city center is accessible by pleasure boats even if the TE is high. The Grand Canal and the smaller canals are dangerous for boats to high TE.

Special rules govern the tourist traffic:

Traffic is permitted from 12 h. It limits the speed to 4.3 knots and the one way to stop the ban should be respected. Clothing should be adapted to use of city life.

The islands of Burano and Torcello, famous cities of the lagoon, are easily accessible by tunnel of St. James or Burano, ferry routes. In both places you can dock to dock. The average depth allows access even to sailboats.

Until Punta Tagliamento the coast is flat, low and sandy and you head to the Piave and the Tagliamento. The bell tower of the town of Caorle, with its characteristic shape is a very recognizable landmark from the sea. On the end of the tip of the coast, there is a church with a steeple on which the lighthouse. The sandy coastline just south of the entrance to the Port Falconera is protected by various dikes laid perpendicular to the coast.

Punta Tagliamento is low and sandy, covered with vegetation especially near the mouth of the river of the same name. The beacon that points out is placed on a cylindrical tower with a white two-story building. The mouth of the river Tagliamento is indicated by a set of tags creating a curve that leads SW to access it.

Between Lignano and Grado extends the lagoon of Marano and Grado lagoon, which is accessed through three entrances: the harbor Lignano, port  Buso and harbor di Grado.
Port Lignano is the first access to the lagoon of Marano, coming from S. S it, 0,8 NM is a beacon with a fire which indicates the depth decreased.
The harbor entrance of Buso is the second access to the lagoon and is located at the mouth of Corno and Aussa: attention to major mercantile traffic. At the end, inside the breakwater to starboard, there is a fixed beacon.

Tous les accès à la Laguna sont nommés ports sur les cartes, mais ce ne sont pas des structures portuaires avec des services, mais une série de canaux qui conduisent à divers ports.
A Chioggia, la bande de terre séparant la lagune de la mer, est reliée, dans sa partie interne, à Sottomarina pour former le cordon littoral de la lagune de Venise. A l'extrémité gauche du canal d'accès, formé de brises-lames surgit le fort S. Felice, avec au-dessus l'édifice blanc d'un ancien phare.

Dans la lagune, on trouve divers canaux signalés par des balises, certains sont illuminés.
Le côté extérieur du Lido est une plage à destination touristique. Du côté de la lagune et le long du canal de la Rochetta la bande de terre, est balisée et numérotée.
Près de Alberoni se trouve la vieille tour Piloti; plus au N, sur le côté mer, la plage est protégée par des rochers. L'accès au port du Lido ne présente pas de problème aux bateaux de plaisance même ceux de grande dimension: le fond minimum est d'environ 8 m.
Les deux digues qui délimitent l'accès sont signalées par deux feux. Celui de la digue S est posé sur une tour octogonale peinte avec des bandes blanches et rouges. La digue N est signalée par un phare situé sur une pagode à damiers blancs et noirs pointant vers le large.

La ville de Venise peut être atteinte soit en venant du port du Lido, soit en prenant le canal Malamocco après avoir pris le canal de Rochetta qui prend le nom, à proximité de la ville, de canal Orfano.
De larges canaux utilisés par le trafic commercial entourent la ville et ils possèdent tous des bornes d'amarrage, dont beaucoup sont numérotées et éclairées avec des lumières jaunes.
Le centre historique de la ville est accessible en bateaux de plaisance même si le TE est élevé. Le grand canal et les les canaux plus petits sont dangereux pour les bateaux à TE élevé.
Des règles particulières régissent la circulation touristique:

la circulation est autorisée à partir de 12 h. il limite la vitesse à 4,3 nœuds les sens uniques et les interdiction de s'arrêter doivent être respectés. l'habillement doit être adapté aux usages de la vie citadine.

Les îles de Burano et Torcello, villes célèbres de la lagune, sont accessibles facilement en suivant les canaux de Saint-James ou de Burano, itinéraires des ferries. Dans les deux endroits vous pouvez accoster aux quais. En moyenne, la profondeur permet l'accessibilité même aux voiliers.

Jusqu'à Punta Tagliamento la côte est plate, basse et sablonneuse et vous vous dirigerez vers la Piave et le Tagliamento. Le clocher de la ville de Caorle, avec sa forme caractéristique est un point de repère très reconnaissable du large. Sur l'extrémité de la pointe de la côte il y a une église avec un clocher sur lequel se trouve le phare. La côte de sable fin juste au sud de l'entrée du Port Falconera est protégé par différentes digues posées perpendiculairement à la côte.

Punta Tagliamento est sablonneuse et basse, recouverte de végétation en particulier près de l'embouchure du fleuve du même nom. Le phare qui le signale est posé sur une tour cylindrique blanche avec une construction à deux étages. L'embouchure du fleuve Tagliamento est signalé par une série de balises créant une courbe orientée SW qui conduit à y accéder.

Entre Lignano et Grado s'étend la lagune de Marano et la lagune de Grado, auxquelles on accède à travers les trois entrées du port Lignano, port Buso et port di Grado.
Port Lignano est le premier accès à la lagune de Marano, en venant du S. Au S de celui-ci, à 0,8 MN se trouve une balise avec un feu qui indique que la profondeur a diminué.
L'entrée de port Buso est le second accès à la lagune et se trouve à l'embouchure de Corno et de Aussa: attention au trafic mercantile important. A la fin, à l'intérieur du brise-lames, à tribord, il y a une balise fixe.
Sur l'île de Buso il y a un restaurant.
Punta Sdobba est basse et sablonneuse et au-dessous de la surface de l'eau s'étend une zone d'eau peu profonde. Elle est signalée par une balise lumineuse posée sur une petite tour conique en ciment, peinte en rouge.

Au N de la pointe s'ouvre la baie de Panzano avec l'accès à Monfalcone. La baie à l'extrême NW du golfe de Trieste, offre un canal long de 2 km marqué par des bouées lumineuses. La bora peut rendre difficile la navigation dans le canal et vous amener à sortir de celui-ci.
 Sur cette partie de la côte se trouve le château de Miramare, point historique, au milieu de la végétation et des collines de l'arrière pays, juste avant d'arriver à Trieste.
La vallée S. Bartolomeo est la dernière baie italienne et se trouve entre la pointe Sottile et la pointe Grossa.
Punta Grossa est rocheuse et entourée d'eau peu profonde. Au large, ces hauts-fonds sont signalés par une balise lumineuse, tour en pierre avec une base carrée.

Tutti gli accessi alla Laguna sono denominati porti sulle carte, ma non sono una struttura portuale con servizi,ma una serie di canali che portano a diversi insediamenti portuali.
A Chioggia la lingua di terra che separa la laguna dal mare è costituita nella parte interna dall'abitato di Sottomarina. Al termine sinistro del canale di accesso, costituito dai moli foranei spicca il Forte S. Felice, con sopra l'edificio bianco dell'ex faro.

Nella Laguna, si aprono diversi canali segnalati da briccole, alcune di queste numerate e illuminate. Il versante esterno del Lido è una spiaggia attrezzata turisticamente.
L'esterno della spiaggia del Lido è una destinazione turistica. Lato della laguna e lungo il canale di Rocchetta la striscia di terra, viene etichettato e numerato. 
Alberoni si trova vicino alla vecchia torre Piloti, più N, sul lato verso il mare, la spiaggia è protetta da rocce.
L'accesso al porto di Lido non presenta problemi al naviglio da diporto anche di discrete dimensioni: il fondale minimo è di circa 8m.
Le due dighe che delimitano l'accesso, sono segnalate da due fari. Quello della diga a Sud è posto su una torre ottagonale dipinta a fasce orizzontali bianche e rosse. La diga N è indicata da un faro su una pagoda a scacchi bianco e nero che punta verso il mare.

Fino a Punta Tagliamento la costa è piatta, bassa e sabbiosa e si va al Piave e il Tagliamento. Il campanile della città di Caorle, con la sua forma caratteristica è un punto di riferimento ben riconoscibile dal mare. La fine della punta della costa si trova una chiesa con un campanile sul quale il faro. Il litorale sabbioso a sud di ingresso al Porto Falconera è protetta da dighe previste varie perpendicolari alla costa.
